Freida and Mark Burdette, and their stallion, Patches Promise Land.

The Horse-N-Around Farm team,
Freida and Mark Burdette and their stallion, Patches Promise Land

This is the only pic I have of Mark, Patches and me (Freida).  I put this one in some of our Christmas cards. It read "Freida with her Stud Muffin & Stud Biscuit". Everyone got a laugh out of it---I was asked "Which one was muffin and which one was biscuit??"

This is our wonderful gang! Starting left to right: Dr.Coe (our veterinary, Keith, Vickie and Shane.

Dr. Coe, his wife Jennifer and their son Conner! His family loves to come out to our farm--we have so many animals for Conner to see and pet! Dr. Jason Coe (with the Animal Hospital in Oneonta, Al) hard at work!

Dr. Jason Coe is our main horse vet, but Dr. Charles Payton is also a horse vet. Dr Payton started the clinic, Dr. Coe has been with the clinic for about three years. We needed a clinic that could do all animals: we have cats, dogs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, swans, goats and horses. I wanted one place taking care of our animals, we have that with the Animal Hospital. Dr. Coe even put a cast on one of my hens, when a horse broke her leg! (I'll try and find the pic for you!) Whatever problem our animals have their there for us. When Prides foal was being born, it was turned the wrong way and came early.

Dr. Jason Coe at our farm!! Finally, I got the cute side of him!!! I call him "The Young Whipper-Snapper"!

Dr. Coe and Dr. Hastings in their office consulting about a client!  Dr. Hastings  and Dr. Yancey are the ones that take care of our small animals (cats, dogs and etc.).  Dr. Payton and Dr. Coe are the ones that make our farm calls.

Dr. Coe wasn't able to get here, so he talked us thru the whole thing. He was on the phone with Mark for nearly two hours helping us thru it. We think the world of Dr. Coe; we like everyone at the clinic, its just usually Jason that comes out! I'll try to get a group pic of all the vets and staff. We have been blessed with this clinic and the staff.

This is our farrier, Kenneth McCormack.  I have taken some pics of him working on our horses--will get developed soon!

Dear Freida,

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed myself yesterday. It
was great getting to meet you, Mark and the whole gang. Your Farm is
so beautiful and I felt so at home that the time flew by. I was shocked
when I got back into my car and saw the time. I certainly didn't mean
to stay so long and impose on your Saturday, so I hope you and Mark will
accept my apologies.

When I get some vacation maybe I can schedule with you to come back
out and spend some more time with the gang. I am willing to work and
help out with anything that needs to be done and maybe get a better
sense of what I would be getting myself into if and when I adopt a
horse. I can tell you love your horses very much and they love and
trust you in return. All of your animals are very fortunate to have
found a home with you!

Thank you so much for letting me come Horse Around.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Fuller
